Kosasih’s version of the wonderful epic tales of Ramayana, published around 1954, with his unique modification from the traditional story-telling art of wayang performance by illustrating the characters in conventional Javanese clothing. Each volume is a standalone story of the Ramayana that Kosasih put together to recreate the epic in a new version with the same stories about the Hindu gods in a wayang ruwatan, a ritual to rebel against evil fortune from human civilization in puppetry style.
